Detoxify Body with Different types of Liquid in the morning

Dated-05 Oct 2023

Drinking water upon waking up in the morning is a healthy practice. It helps detoxify the body and rehydrates it after a night's rest. The amount of water to drink varies from person to person, depending on individual needs and preferences. It's crucial to listen to your body and not force excessive amounts of water if it doesn't feel necessary. Typically, 200 to 300ml (about one glass) of water is sufficient for most people in the morning.
Choosing the Right Vessel: The vessel you use to drink water matters. Opt for earthenware, copper, or silver vessels. Copper vessels, in particular, have antibacterial properties. However, if you have high blood pressure, consult a healthcare professional before using copper vessels, as copper water may increase blood pressure.
Seasonal Considerations:
The type of water to drink can vary with the seasons:
• Summer: Room temperature water or water from a pitcher is suitable. You can also make a refreshing drink by boiling coriander, cumin, cinnamon, and small cardamom in water for 5 minutes and letting it cool before drinking.
• Winter: In colder weather, lukewarm water is beneficial. If you drink water before sunrise, consider adding lemon to lukewarm water. After sunrise, stick to lukewarm water. Additionally, you can boil ginger and basil leaves in water for a few minutes and consume it lukewarm.
• Adding Flavour: While plain water is excellent, you can enhance it by adding lemon or lemongrass, provided you don't have cold or cough issues. If you're concerned about blood sugar levels, consider adding a small piece of cinnamon or half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to your water at night. Filter and drink it in the morning to help manage blood sugar.
• Turmeric: If you have liver problems, you can mix half a teaspoon of turmeric in lukewarm water to support liver health.
Important Note:
The information provided here is general advice and not a substitute for personalized guidance from a healthcare professional or dietician. The quantity of water and additives should be determined based on an individual's nature, needs, and specific health conditions. It's advisable to consult an expert for personalized recommendations rather than making these decisions independently.
